HAERA-OCEAN REBORN

"HAERA – Ocean Reborn" 은 기후 변화와 해수면 상승으로 사변적으로 상상한 미디어 아트 설치작품이다. 김보슬 작가는 동양의 전일적 사유와 과학적 근거를 결합하여, 인류세의 잔해 위에서 하이브리드 생명과 새로운 생태계가 탄생하는 가상의 수중 문명 ‘해이라(HAERA)’를 구축한다. 디지털 애니메이션, XR 상호작용을 활용한 몰입적 환경 속에서 감각과 인식의 경계를 재구성하며, 바다를 파괴와 재생, 그리고 공존의 은유적 장소로 전환시킨다. 본 작업은 변화된 자연 속에서 인간과 비인간 존재가 어떻게 다시 관계 맺을 수 있을지에 대한 사유를 제안한다.

"HAERA – Ocean Reborn" is a media art installation that envisions a speculative underwater ecosystem shaped by climate change and rising sea levels. Through an immersive AR environment composed of LED screens and sculptural installations, the work reconstructs Haera—a deep-sea world where submerged civilizations give rise to new hybrid life forms and ecological systems. Reinterpreting the ocean as a site of both destruction and renewal, the project invites viewers to contemplate the future of coexistence between humanity and non-human life in an era of environmental transformation.
