HAERA-OCEAN REBORN

HAERA – Ocean Reborn is a speculative media installation that envisions a subterranean ecology within a near-future reshaped by climate change and rising sea levels. The project invites audiences to navigate a sentient underwater civilization emerging from the remnants of submerged cities through a synergy of 3D animation, physical sculptural structures, and XR mobile interaction. Incorporating generative AI, fluid dynamics and geospatial terrain data—the work transforms the metaphoric abyss of destruction into a generative space of recovery. Through this immersive landscape, the ocean becomes a resilient symphony of destruction and regeneration—a ritualistic space to contemplate our shared future of coexistence on a recovering planet.

〈HAERA – Ocean Reborn〉은 기후 위기 이후 해수면 아래 형성된 수중 도시를 배경으로, 인간과 비인간 존재의 공진화를 탐구하는 사변적 미디어아트 프로젝트다. 동서양의 문화와 기억이 중첩된 이 유기적 생태 도시는 바다를 파괴와 재생, 공존의 공간으로 전환하며 살아있는 시스템으로 작동한다. AI·디지털 애니메이션·XR 기반 몰입형 환경을 통해 디지털 생태계를 물리 공간으로 확장하며, 인간과 비인간의 새로운 공존의 가능성을 사유한다.
